Warrant Signed for Dudus' Arrest

Attorney General Dorothy Lightbourne has finally signed the extradition order against Tivoli Gardens' strongman, Christopher "Dudus" Coke and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Paula Llewelyn has secured the required arrest warrant.


Lightbourne's colleague in the Senate, Tom Tavares Finson has withdrawn as Coke's lawyer.

Following are a few proposals to fight crime:

* The Minister of National Security and the Commissioner should ask for more overseas help.

* Ask for financial assistance from any international organisation to fund the setting up of CCTVs on some of the utility poles across the island with connections to the nearest police station, so that the police can detect criminal activities.

* Praedial larceny is affecting farmers seriously and CCTV can help the police ...

OCHO RIOS, St Ann - A new programme aimed at helping schools cope with violence, anti-social behaviour, truancy and children at risk is to be piloted in some of the island's schools during the new academic year.
